If anything could be discerned through the thick alloy which currently protected his face while keeping it from view, one might assume he had just blinked in disbelief. Malfunction? HIM? When could he ever be prone to such a thing in his existence! But then again there were rumors among those who knew him that being electrocuted did not kill him. . . it made him 'malfunction' into acting rather 'flawed'.
More Human, hyper at that.
"The malfunction is yours. Improper name designation."
The Helmet slid back suddenly, and rather smoothly as well, separating into three separate pieces that melded into the silver suit. Obviously the Tron native still had not learned the point of nicknames, only codenames. How ironic. Now Cid would see the face of his could-be rescuer, or at the very least a guide out of this predicament.

Cid Highwind regarded with clearly shown curiosity. A gloved hand rubbed his stubbly chin. "Wrong name, eh? Well I can think of a few more of my favorites for you, if ya want."
Highwind jabbed a finger into the air at the metallic stanger. "My identity first? You're on MY ship!" The Captain turned away from the Agent. "Why, I've got a mind to tell Shera to drop your ass back outside!"
"...but I won't...because yer obviously so sheltered...that you ain't never heard of the famous Cid Highwind!" A thumbs-up was jammed in front of the other man's face. "Pilot extraordinaire! It's got wings, I can pilot it!"

Cid Highwind?
Cid Highwind. . .
Only a brain with specific origins such as Hayden could have such lucky moments when it came down to the high similitudes of memory. It showed a bit in the Hazel eyes that their name had triggered a sudden train of thought or mental effort to recall something. Thankfully it was not something which gave one the impression his mind was run by a hamster going full tilt on a plastic wheel.
"Your name was mentioned in the file on Tifa Lockheart. Therefore. . ."
Putting two and two together was not a difficult task for the Agent, one with one combined only came to him that much easier. A soft, triumphant smile graced the Tron native's lips as he mimicked their use of a thumbs-up albeit his own was a bit more shiny.
". . .You are one of the missing Heroes, Captain Highwind! My name is Hayden."

"Along with the rest of the heroes you have been missing a few cycles over three years, including the rest of your friends."
He replied after the rumbly in Monstro's tumbly, which made the Rebel look around for a moment as if experiencing the emotion associated with worry. Or perhaps he had some type of scanners activating to assess their situation before it was too late. Either way only a few seconds passed before his Hazel eyes look squarely into the Captain's own eyes.
"We should leave now."
The Heartless were still likely heading toward the ship, which meant soon they would be crawling all over it. After that they would likely try to breach the hull in order to get inside, mindlessly pursuing their food. Of course it went without saying that if the hull were breached they would be unfit for space travel and have to repair it. But finding the time to repair it meant having to defeat ALL of the Heartless.

"Th-THREE YEARS!?" Cid nearly yelled, leaning away and stumbling a few steps from Hayden as if he were a madman. He'd been gone THREE years!? Impossible! Why, wasn't it just yesterday that he'd been slamming around shadow beasts?
...wasn't it?
Just when he was about to grab Hayden by the throat and shake some answers out of the metallic beanpole, the tumbly rumbly seemed all that more serious. He practically ran past Hayden in his rush to get back to the main control room. "Shit, Sherlock!" he cursed. Damn straight they had to get out of there!

He could have began running for the control room the moment Cid had started to run, but instead he waited until the Captain had a good lead on him before following. After all, Agent Rising Force had never been in a ship like this before and did not want to cause any trouble with its commander. If the older chose to enlist any type of help from Hayden in getting the Shera ready, he would follow orders without question.
No questionable orders had been given to him before.
Soon the Silver Soldier was in the same room as Captain Highwind, wondering if they should turn the headlights back on again. Especially since it had been effective in frightening away all those Heartless the first time. But he did not voice the opinion, lest risking a rageful showing from Cid's temper at being told what to do on his own ship!

[*screams in silent rage as strepthroat takes hold* Subtitles: Nooooo! >=O]
Cid was hitting keys in a way that would make Elton John tremble in fear! Monitors and panels lit up one by one, all gauges flickering brighter than any Daft Punk seizure helmet! Just as THE MASTER BUTTON! was about to be pushed, Cid's hand froze. The Captain stood hunched over the control board like a madman as he suddenly cocked his head to look over at Hayden.
"Oh yeah, just us, ain't it?"
Twitching his index finger away from THE MASTER BUTTON!, Cid twiddled around with a few things as the flickering brightness of artificial light was confined to just two consoles - one for him and one for Hayden.
Did he REALLY have to tell him to take a seat? If he did, Cid would feel...not very manry.
The console's glow illuminated just the bottom half of Cid's face like a campfire flashlight. "D'you reckon...we should turn the lights on?"
He turned around in his chair. "Which way is the mouth, anyway?"
BECAUSE HE SURE AS HELL WASN'T GOING OUT THE OTHER END.

Without endangering anyone's manry nature, the Rebel took a seat and began analyzing the controls as quickly he could using Hazel eyes. Fingers which appeared chrome then began pressing certain buttons until the lights came on at the front end of the ship. Apparently this `man` knew something of technology, for they came on at their brightest capacity. Doing this lit up the whale's innards immensly, similar in fashion to earlier on.
Unfortunately this awakened the Space Whale from some type of slumber and the mouth began to open up in a roar.

When the whale rumbled, Cid grabbed the console like a toilet in a tornado. He glanced around, making sure that Heartless weren't swarming through the walls or crushing against the windows. The moment Hayden switched on the lights, a small ping could be heard as a single wave bounced off the inside walls of the whale, the vague outline of it being illuminated as the wave traveled through the surrounding area.
Highwind peered over at the small screen. "Never was good at anatomy..." he mumbled as he traced a finger along the outline that appeared. They were bound to be close to an exit, weren't they? The Captain had no idea how long he had actually been INSIDE Monstro, but the Silver Surfer didn't look very worse for wear...so he must have entered it rather recently.

"I'm 80% sure that its mouth is straight ahead. When I entered after seeing your ship's headlights the first time, they were shinning straight at me."
Hayden stated in a tone which left the choice to Highwind, yet subtly suggested the Captain act on his 'intelligence' of the creature's anatomy. After all, the Cap'n might just resort to blowing his way out of the Space Whale if he grew impatient enough. But who could say how much explosives, bullets, or possibly even lasers would be needed to accomplish the feat of making a hole in Monstro.

"Figured as much..." Cid muttered to himself thoughtfully, eyes narrowing as he glared at the consoles. Hayden was right, Highwind knew. Data didn't lie and neither did his eyes.
...and just when he thought he might have a valid excuse to enjoy some fireworks...
"Then I reckon we should go out the same way, don'tcha think?" the Captain asked Hayden, flashing the other a trademark wild grin. His gloved hands flew over the switches, fingers moving with all the grace of a piano player. REALLY.
The Shera rumbled as extra thrusters came to life. They'd need all the power they could get to get them out of their wedged position and to make sure Monstro came away with heartburn he'd never forget!

[ *Hands Alya Lawl-steak*]
Agent Rising Force watched as Cid played the blast-off concerto, pressing keys on his own console when knowledge dictated it to be appropriate.
Reason dictated Monstro was a savage force not capable of high order thought processes, thus incapable of knowing the true consequences of what it had done. Namely, swallowing the Gummi-ships along with the Shera. Perhaps that was why Hayden had not suggested using the on-board weapons to desimate the obstacle to their freedom. Such actions would not sit well with the conscience he seemed to possess in place of a Heart.
Just like another who had once been trapped within the Space Whale. But for better or worse, his did not materialize in the form of a dressed and talking cricket. And now his lips twisted into the adventeruous smirk of one used to the thrill of being close to de-rezzing.
"It would be much better than going out the back, Captain Highwind."
