Salvation, if someone like Aeron could have such a thing, came in the form of fire.

The blond went from certain death in China to who-knows-what in this new place, swallowed up by a Dark Portal that was not made by his hand. Everything was a blur, and though it became quickly apparent that he was being rescued, not much else crossed the Dark Mage's mind as white hot pain began to burn him, the chains that had been used to both hold him down and suppress his power glowing slightly. The man shut his golden eyes against such pain, and even though his best efforts where used, he could not stop the slight pained noise that issued from him.

As soon as the young man felt the ground underneath his feet, he immediately reached to grab his rescuer and shove him away. The power Kaix had been using had been picked up by the chains, and since the other had been touching him, it made the assumption that Aeron was trying to exert his power... Well, if blessed inanimate objects could make assumptions.

He swore in his native dialect, hands and knees on the ground until it finally stopped. The blond was breathing hard, and there was the faint smell of burning flesh in the air.

Jia, concerned, abandoned Kaix by detaching her claws from his clothing and jumping down, standing up on her two back paws and rubbing her face against Aeron's in a comforting manner with a loud meow.

The younger man managed a growl and looked up through shaggy, unkempt hair at his partner, not bothering to control his breathing before speaking. "Just.... Get these Damn things... Off of me." He pratically panted, moving one hand to indicate what he meant, the chain links jangling with the slight movement. Gods he hated that noise.

But then again, if he was ordering Kaix around, that meant he wasn't dying, at the very least. The man inwardly snarled and glared impaciently at his partner. Couldn't he see he was in pain here?!

The blond immediately moved back and settled cross legged on the ground when the bindings came off, fingertips gently massaging the raw skin that was starting to look more like scar tissue than anything else with the other hand. He must of been in those bonds a long time, but said nothing about it, the stream of words from the other long-lasting.

The Dark Keyblader closed his eyes briefly, seeking his inner power. There wasn't much there, and hadn't been in awhile. He reopened gold eyes when Jia scrambled into his lap, purring happily. The younger man's eyes flashed angrily.

"Someone told them where I would be." He said shortly, starting off with the third question... though the fact he had answered any at all was amazing. "It wasn't Riou either, apparently there's another mole..." His hands clenched, and he actually bared teeth. Aeron's captivity seem to of made him more feral instead of the quiet plotter he was before.

The blond shrugged it off. "It was only routine visits to the planet we control." He said, tough knowing Aeron, he might of not been telling the whole truth. Even Kaix didn't need to know some of the stuff he got into.

"..." The mage paused, looking at Kaix with intense golden eyes. "You have good timing, you know." He said after a moment, as close as a thank you that the other would get from him. Jia meowed in agreement. "though, you haven't gone away unscathed since I was gone..." Obviously, he was referring to the bandages that covered the side of his face, over his eye. He didn't have the whole story yet, but Aeron could make a guess. It only fed his growing hatred to the Rebellion...
