 Never Trust a Pirate... (Shade)
« Thread Started on Aug 10, 2008, 5:41pm »

Dierk had left the fae boy unconscious in the Inn. Of course, he had every intention of leaving Shade behind despite how curious he was about him. The sun was high in the sky when the Hunter reached the docks. He'd managed to barter passage on a ship across the vast expance of water. It was a common method of travel for Dierk. Whether he barted for passaged on a ship, gummy ship, rocket, horse, whatever...

He stood on the dock, one hip cocked slightly as his dark eyes peered up at the side of the wooden ship. He didn't like boats much... but what other choice did he have. Ripper had been bugging him the entire morning for leaving the boy without even a good bye... too bad. The Hunter was ignoring his better half. People stared at him as they passed, his odd clothing enough to drag attention to him, of course, it had nothing to do with his almost girlish features... of course not! =O He snorted softly to himself, brushing a wing of black bangs out of his eyes before he headed toward the ramp where they were loading cargo into the ship.

Shade was left laying in the bed, gaining back his energy. He didn't even notice that the person he began to get attached to left him behind, but others did. The inn keep informed some pirates from the morning that the boy was left alone, for a price of course. She made sure to mention he was injured and wouldn't be able to put up much of a fight. Not only that she spied through a peep whole in the room and saw the boy change into a Fae. Thats when two pirates entered the room, waking the young man from his sleep.

"The captain will surely like you boy."

Thats when the two pirates shackled his hands, and began to carry him off, his feet being dragged on the ground as he was being carried back to the ship. He wanted to fight them off so badly, but his wounds were not fully healed and he just didn't have the energy. They at least had the decency to cover him up in some cloths, not that they covered much anyway.

On his way to the dock he passed out, he was still to exhausted. Thats when a familiar face saw him, it was Dierk about to enter the same ship the boy was being carried up to. The pirates looked him over but were to excited with getting ahold of Shade, maybe he would sell for a pretty penny, or maybe they would use him for there evil deeds.

Dierk was half way up the plank when a familiar form caught his eye. Ripper growled through his brain, loud enough to give the hunter an instant headache.

'OW! Stop that, relax,' he grumbled at the wolf.

*That boy is nothing but touble, isn't he?* Ripper grumbled back.

Dierk moved to the top of the ramp, watching the two pirates closely, not that thay seemed to give him a second glance.

"How troublesome," Dierk agreed with Ripper, speaking out loud this time as he continued to watch the men carry the boy. He wasn't as naive as he sometimes seemed... there was a few things he could imagine them doing with poor Shade. And most of them upset him~! His eyebrows dropped into a frown as his heels clicked against the wooden deck of the ship. He'd wait for now. Until they were out at sea. The docks were too crowded to escape with Shade if he had to. He might be able to compromise with the Captain over Shade. Dierk had a talent for bargaining!

The two men dragged the boy all the way to the captains quarters, smiling as if they just found a treasure. The two knocked on the door, although they didn't hear anything after.

"Captain, we found something for you, a rare treasure indeed."

Quickly the door opened, the Captain looked to be in his early 30's, a scar going across his eye. He wore a black vest and shirt, brown pants, and a black pirate hat to boot. The Captain's face quickly went from a normal look to pissed off.

"What did you do, steal a boy, you idiots."

The pirates only smiled, with a few of there golden teeth shining eerily.

"He's a umm, fairy or uh whats it called it Todd?". Looking over to the other pirate holding the boy. "A Fae you idiot!" Quickly smacking the other on the head. The Captain's face went from pissed off to a huge smile. "What a treasure indeed, off all places to find one. Bring him in and lay him on my couch. I'll deal with him from here on out. GET BACK TO WORK DOGS, WE LEAVE AT SUNSET," he howled.

The door closed behind him, leaving unconscious Shade in the Captain's clutches.

Dierk watched as the two pirated vanished into the captain's quarters with Shade. He'd spoken to the captain earlier that morning about passage. The weren't exactly friends, but they'd come to an understanding. Dierk could protect the ship from Heartless better than the crew could!

He leaned against the railing, out of the way as the crew scurried to prepare the cargo and ship for departure.

*Aren't you going to do anything?* Ripper pestered him.

'Eventually,' The hunter reassured the wolf.

The planks were drawn up, the sails released. So close to sailing.

Shade awoke to the smell of a fine berry tea, oh the aroma made his perk up quickly forgetting about what just transpired. Drink up boy, the captain said with a grin on his face. Shade had no idea who the man was or even where he was for that matter. I own you now boy, you'll be doing as I'm saying from here on out. Those words the captain should not have uttered.

Shade grew angry at the very thought of becoming a slave again, and what happened to Dierk, did they kill him or was he working with them. No that couldn't be it, Dierk would never leave him on purpose. His bracelet began to glow and pieces began to move around, the captains eyes shined with greed as he attempted to snatch it from the boy.

The captain touched it and quickly felt his energy being sucked out of him as he began to kneel down. Shade stood up and smacked him away, the captain laying down gibbering to himself madly. His appearance became a little darker, not fully transforming into his Fae self but symbols began to appear over his body and one of his eyes changing to gold. His hair partially dyed white.

The captains door exploded as a punch filled with electric energy smashed through it. Out stepped Shade, a little more terrifying then before, this time much more angry.
